Niagara Climbing Center COVID-19 Health and Safety Reminders

We are so happy to be seeing so many familiar faces around Niagara Climbing Center again! We have been open since late July and we are happy to see everyone settling into the “new normal” at NCC. That said, old habits are hard to break and we want to remind everyone the importance of the COVID-19 health and safety procedures that keep all of our climbers & community along with NCC safe. Staying open during a global pandemic is truly a team effort, we need everyone’s help to keep us safe and healthy as possible.

All who enter NCC are doing so at their own risk

No amount of cleaning can prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will do our best to maintain high sanitation standards but risk remains. All who enter must be symptom free and not recently at risk

1) Temperature check & COVID-19 questions concerning symptoms, exposure and travel

2) Masks are Mandatory for Everyone

Mask be worn at all times at NCC

Masks must fit over both nose and mouth

Masks are available for those in need

3) Sanitizing

Hand sanitizer is located throughout NCC

Personal hand sanitizer bottles will be provided to belayers to sanitize between top-rope stations

All visitors should thoroughly wash your hands prior to climbing and periodically

4) Restroom Features

Touchless soap dispensers

Touchless water faucets

Touchless hand towels

Foot door openers

5) Physical Distancing

Minimum of 6ft between yourself and other

Do not cluster in groups when waiting to climb

Once you finish your climb, move out of climbing area, allowing others climbing opportunity

Remember keep 6ft physical distance when walking to and from a climb

6) Footwear Rules

Climbing shoes are required on all pads and walls

No climbing shoes in the restrooms

No bare feet anywhere

7) Occupancy

Staff, members, walk-ins & visitors are permitted at 50% capacity = 56 people

8) Contact Tracing

Anyone testing positive for, or develop symptoms of COVID-19, computer software will be used to contact trace and follow-up with any guests who may possibly have been exposed. Your information will be kept private
